Digitising My Keepsakes; a 10 year history

Suzy WimbourneComment

Each of these pieces of scrap paper, wristbands and ticket stubs until recently were attached to a clock, the kind that allows you to affix anything lightweight enough to the hour dials and I had been doing just that over the course of 10 years. Before said clock came into my possession, I like most other sentimental hoarders would store my used and obsolete paraphernalia in a keepsake tin with the foresight that I'd appreciate in a number of years time.

Sadly during the move to our new home the clock fell apart and it wasn't until my last birthday Suzy replaced the clock like-for-like with a new one and painstakingly put back together my little shrine of memories. As I studied my collection of things I couldn't let go of despite numerous house moves over the last 10 years I came to the conclusion that it was now a good time to do just that.

Instead of destroying these visual cues completely I decided to digitise them and then caption the story each one told.

I think the new clock will store new memories in time, if only we can decide where to put it!
